Let’s take a closer look…

Kings can claim power in the right circumstance. When conditions are met they can be played on any suit.

True to form, the King of Clubs likes to wait for his plan to come to fruition. It’s often a good idea to hold him until late game where his ability can help you secure the win. The assassination bonus signifies his ability to capitalize on the chaos he creates.

Possessing a jealous nature, The King of Diamonds only needs to see others doing better than him to ignite his ambition. When behind, he’ll keep you moving forward. However, comfortable with being the best, his ability won’t help at all if you’re winning.

Jacks are down in it, making moves and advancing the cause. All have Assassination effects and suit synergy.

Fierce and proud, The Jack of Spades will take down anybody who’s not in her clan. You can use her to make an easy switch to Spades, or hold her for a while. It’s quite the shocker when someone challenges you to a Duel and you send her as your champion.

Normally a Duel is a risky affair, but not with the Jack of Spades. Conversely, you may choose to throw the duel, losing all your H8 to set up plays with Hearts.

Someone has to do the dirty work - who would suspect the gardener? The Jack of Hearts skillfully maintains his garden of peace, just don’t ask him what he uses for fertilizer. He can enable plays and cancel drawbacks, all for the greater good.

If you have the most H8 this card does nothing. That’s where the Jack of Hearts comes in. Keep him in your hand to freely play any Love effect with no consequences.

Here’s an example of a Special and Sideboard card combination for a fast paced style of play.

A second stack means you have more play making options.

During Sudden Death each assassination brings you closer to victory.

Making plays between turns keeps everyone on the edge of their seat, ready to pounce!

Normally, there can only be one unicorn. With Hazel you can have all of these cards in effect at the same time. You could even start with them in play to really commit to the theme.

This set up lets the H8 flow freely, maximizing player interaction.

The longer vengeance remains unsatisfied, the bigger the pot will be.

The Golden H8 can be used to pay any cost.

There he goes… beating his war drum again.

Jade is all about mischief. If you’re not up to it she will do mischief to you. If you have the H8 you can do mischief… together. Gives you something to spend all that extra H8 on.
